Dude, do a search in "Boating Topics" ^^^^^ Debated at least 1123 times, and lots of good info. I am totally biased, so don't listen to me, but my signature used to be: "Friends don't let friends use hydrofoils . . ."

the shroomer brings up a good point. I am starting to loosen up on under 16 ft. and low horsepower . . .

I was recommended to get a hydrofoil instead of trim tabs on my 18 ft. Larson tri-hull, because it has side stability. I bought a SE300 hydrofoil from the Iboats marine store, but unfortunatly haven't had it running right to test it out:mad:

I've had good luck with two completely different applications for a foil.
but if I had it to do today it would be trim tabs.Probably Smart tabs.They help hole shot,stay on plane at lower power,combat no wake speed wander.
