truck lighting problem 97 gmc

I have a 97 gmc 1500. Im having trouble with the lt side trailer light when ever i tow anything. None of them come on and the right side works fine. I was hoping some one else had a similar problem and could help me out.

All the truck lights work fine and it is a factory 7 plug on the truck.

my 2000 gmc had a similar problem that I just couldn't track... Then I looked under the hood and found the 'other' fuse box. It has separate fuses for the trailer light circuits!!
