How do I Replace 1996 Evinrude ignition switch in control box?

Question

How do I Replace 1996 Evinrude ignition switch in control box?

The control box encloses the ignition switch. Do I have to open up the control box to remove or access the switch? Are there any tips so I don't goof things up inside? (get cables disconnected, etc.). Thanks in advance for any help.

An OEM shop manual would be a great help ... I don't have one for your motor.
