ive got a 1971 johnson 60hp with electric shift and the switch in the control box is bad [well gone due to previous owner] but he never hooked it back up so the motor doesnt start i know power to the green is neutral and blue and green together is reverse so what i was thinking is take some toggle switches and hook up one with the green and a power wire and the other the blue and green with power but my concern is if i connect the blue and green together for the reverse switch then when i turn on the neutral switch it will put me in reverse so is there another configuration that will work any ideas on how to do it so i dont have to buy the switch for the control box maybe add a third switch lol to the jumper wire and where should i get the power wire from can i jump from the red wire going to the key. ay help would be greatly appreciated
