Default Plug Gap 20hp Mercury

I recently changed the plugs in my 1968 Mercury 200 (20hp). They are champion and I set the gap to .035 instead of .030 because I do trolling with this engine and I do high speed running to . Is this gonna hurt anything. I've already run the engine like this and it seems to run fine but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't hurting anything. I'm a Johnnyrude guy so i'm not qiute used to these Mercs yet.

Thanks, Dan

Default Re: Plug Gap 20hp Mercury

As long as the plugs are the right heat range and the ign will fire it no problem.
