I Stripped the the little gear inside the rotary box on my steering wheel. Can you replace the gear or do you have to replace the whole Rotary box? also is there a way to grease up the inside of the steering cable or do I just shoot oil down it and let it work it's way up thru the cable? Thanks

Re: Steering cable

I just installed a rotary steering kit on my boat and according to the instructions cites NOT to add any lubricants which can cause damage to the steering cable.

Disconnect the motor from the steering cable and make sure it moves freely then replace the box and cable both. Something made that gear strip.
