Power Trim Problems

I have a 1988 70HP Evinrude. I drained all the fluid from the trim in order to change. After refilling, it will not operate up or down. Is there a trick to bleeding the air from the system? Please help!!

with someone operating the button, lift the motor all the way, lock the motor there, refill the system, now lower with the button. repeat, and repeat, till it goes all the way up on it's own. then cycle 5 or 6 times.
