Force identification

I have a 125hp Force on my 1988 Bayliner How do I Identify what this motor is... a,b,c model? is it a L drive I cant seem to find out where you can identify it by the serial numbers....Thanks for the help in advance

Have the same boat/motot. Mines a 1251X8A
It's not an L drive if its hanging off the back

You need to find the model number.
Located on an id plate under the carb, or on a tag on the transom mounting bracket.

An L drive is similar to an i/o.
If it looks like an outboard, it is not an L drive.
