gas/oil mix ratio

I have a 66 18hp fastwin 18602c model number e11935 and a 62 5.5hp 5524r model number 05067. I need to know what is the recommended gas oil mixture ratio for these two engines. I know that most are 50:1, however I heard that the older models were 25:1 when new. What would be the best ratio?
