Have an issue with steering/tilt cylinders on a Mercruiser Bravo Three on a 454 MAG mpi I/O on a 97' 220 Cobalt.
Issue: Seal is leaking on one cylinder. Water has entered this system, in which now fluid is milky in appearence. Has worked for previous season, but now lift circuit does not work, lower does. Have not troubleshot this yet, issue shouldn't be related to water in system.
Status: I'm trying to find a seal kit to rebuild these cylinders. Will any seal kit for hydraulic cylinders work? Obviously cheaper at a farm store rather than boat dealer. What is the best way to flush system? Also, what oil is the correct oil to use? Also, what is the proper bleeding method?
Any help appreciated...
