3.8L OMC horsepower

Can someone tell me what the horsepower should be for a 1986 OMC 4.3L?
My insurance is hasseling me about HP. I just bought it, and the add said 185HP, but they claim that isn't right for a 1986 SSV-168 Glastron boat. Could the seller have BS'd me?

I think the 4.3 (2 bbl) was rated at 175 and the HO version (4 bbl) was 205

Actually, it was 190hp (2bbl), 205hp (4bbl), I had a 1986'- 22.5' Celebrity Cuddy SS with twin 205hp 4.3V6 OMC Cobra's.

there have been many improvements and changes to the 4.3 marine motor, you have to know exactly which you have. the 4.3 was a plain, vortec, injected, carbed. all have different rating. and i have no idea what the OMC 4.3 was.

So Why is the thread Title say 3.8l,+ you ask about the 4.3l..??..??

i owned the same beast for 10 years !3.8 v-6 omc 800 series,170 hp w 2bbl,185 with a 4 bbl,
