Turns out all I needed to do was to install the original springs and adjust the idle. Nice and smooth now all through the throttle up tp 4000 so far.

Have about 6.5 hrs running time so far..........looking forward to 10 hrs so I can open it up. Don't even know what the WOT will be yet!

Ayuh,..... Sounds Great so far.....

Once you get the break-in behind you,...
Then you can start doing some Sparkplug readings to Fine Tune your Carb......

Hey bondo..........

probbaly won't pull a plug until after 20hrs or so..........

This engine (Rapido) seems soo much better than the original.........my guess is the other engine had some oil passage problem in th lifter valley.
This engine seems like it will run all day at 4000RPM.

Will keep u posted if u want.

Pop through the carb is a dangerous thing. You sure your timing is right?

Re: CarbTuning/Engine Break-in

Timing is at 8*BTDC...........pretty sure it's water.

Boat was being tossed around a bit while anchored..........fuel proably got stirred up............after the 1 pop.........it ran fine all the way home 3600-3800RPM.
