johnson 40 vro battery connection probelm

i need to know where the wires from the battery connect to on a 1990 40hp johnson vro.when i bought the engine the cables were removed

The negative cable connects to the engine block. The positive cable connects to the large post on the side of the starter solenoid furthest from the starter.
