Okay. i have a 1996 40hp force..with a little water in the bottom cylinder. so i took the head off and inspected the head gasket..it look okay..i guess..the top cylinder wall was a little scared up..not very much...my buddy said that it dont look like it will hurt it..because it wont catch your finger nail. he also said that he prolly could hone it out a little...so could i be getting water from some where else or is the gasket prolly bad i just cant tell it..and also i forgot to take a compression test before i started....but the new gasket will be here Thursday alone with a t-stat and gasket for it too..
