pontoon top speed

what is your pontoon's top speed?

I have an 18 Starcraft w a 88 50 evinrude I'm guessing 18-20 mph.
Someday I'll get a gps and do it right.Just curious? or do you have a problem?

We ran a 25' boat at work with the new Yamaha 350 OB, I think it went somewhere in the neighbor hood of 58 mph.

The fastest "normal" toon(see below) I have heard or was a 22' with a Yamaha V-Max that would run consistently at 62-63, this was from a dealer so I tend to believe him.

Another local company,Oddesey I think, had a boat with center tubes on the out side and a normal tube in the middle, they mounted 2-250's on it and got it up 89-90, YIKES!

Earlier this year we built a 28' for Dale Earnhart jr, it was an I/O and he ordered it delete engine so I can only imagine what it will do with a DEI engine.

I have a 2002 Playcraft with a Yamaha Vmax 250. Only GPS'd it once with 5 people on board at 49.3 mph.

With a careful setup,trim, weight distribution and porp selection you may be able to get a couple of more mph and a tweak better mileage.
I've seen a 50 push a 23 .5 footer to 19 mph and a 20 ft to 21 mph.Actual
gps speed.

A friend has a 28' tri-toon with a 5.7L Mercruiser Bravo III that will do 48mph with a full bimini top up.

I have a 24 ft tritoon Baron (Bentley) with a Mercury 115 4 stroke. Does anyone know how fast I should be able to go?

I'm curious - can you pull up a slalom skier with that 115 on the 24' TriToon?
