Mercury 850 ID

I just picked up a 1970 boat and it has a mercury 850 85hp on it. But the numbers I'm finding don't seem to match up. What year is this. Found this number on the mount bracket 483 3446 and this number on the starboard rear side of engine 847 3490

by my charts the 483 number would make it 1977 model . Go to www.maxrules.com and you can check and print the charts from their website. hope it helps
