I'm beginning restoration on the above main components and am looking for correct paint and decals/emblems (also for my Simplex control) - to match. I can't find good examples of the original boat or the Simplex details. Any ideas where I can look for #1 Boat pictures and #2 Simplex pictures? Also where I can order the correct paint and good decals?
Re: Questions : Help Early 60's Evinrude-Duracraft restoration correct Paint and Deca
i just sold the same vintage duracraft. go to ebay search evinrude controls, you will run across a simplex control, to see. it is one heck of a boat, loved rough water, mine was rated for a 50 hp. great little ski boat. i had 3 different motors on it. 57 35hp was ok, 93 40hp better, and an 88 50hp was fantastic.
we all need to support iboats marine store when ever possible. you get, competitive prices. fast shipping, top notch customer service. also it provides us, this great FREE forum.

Thanks for the great info and inspiration! I guess they must not have made a lot of the 60's models because I have been looking for a while now trying to find Duracraft literature or cataloges showing pictures with options and colors .. to no avail.
