Late 80's early 90s Had boat 10 years and attempted to replace water pump on my own. Have the bottom off and the shaft disconected. WHERES THE PUMP/ iNSIDE THE mETAL BOX WITH THE 6 SCREWS or somewhere else? Can I get a schematic anywhere?

Novelty, I just replaced mine - 1986. In the water pump kit there is a complete water pump replacement manual that came along with the kit. The Impeller sits under the impeller cup, metal, which sits under the impeller housing which is bolted down by the six screws.
