I have a 1996 regal rush with the merc 120 xr it wouldnt start so i replaced the starter then it started fine .but as soon as i put it in the water it started and stalled and then wouldnt restart i pulled the plugs they looked ok and reinstalled new ones but still wont start ? what do i do from here It has spark and seems to be getting fuel anyone seen this before ? thanks much !!!

check your float in the carb take off the bottom of the carb there will be a little donut looking thing it may be stuck move it up and down (make sure that it is free) put the bottom back on then crank or thats what was wrong with ours after it set a while

I had a problem starting mine recently, there was two much corrosion around the battery posts and cables, I just sanded everything.
