Friends,

I have an 1981 Evinrude 35 manual start tiller, just tuned it up and it is great.

I am thinking about putting an electric starter kit on it. I believe the kit will run me approximately $500. I know of a great mechanic who gives great pricing and is completely trustworthy.

What should I know from you guys prior to begining this process?

Pro's/Con's/everything.

Thanks guys!

Re: Electric Start Advice

it is a fairly simple process, especially if you already have the toothed flywheel.

Part number 173346 Electric Starting Kit is $399.95. Available direct from BRP. Should give you everything you need. http://shop.evinrude.com/
Click on Electronic Parts Catalog, then select OB Accessories from the drop down list where it says Evinrude.
