I have a few years old Minn Kota 55# trolling motor. It has the foot pedal with the power drive. I really don't like the foot pedal and love the new pedal designs Minn Kota has out. Does anyone here know if I were to buy a new pedal whether or not I could use it for the old motor? Will it plug into the older motor?

No it won't. The new motor has a small round connector.

I just bought a new 55PD/AP/US2. The new foot pedal goes with the digital controllers. I have an older 40PD and that uses the old style analog pedal controller. Also as mentioned, they won't plug together anyway. The digital uses more connector pins and an entirely different connector type.
