Default New Boat Question

I just got a 2007 Four Winns Horizon 180 (actually won the boat) and I've noticed one thing that's causing a little frustration and wondering if anyone had any advice. I have some fenders to protect the boat when docked, but the location of the four cleats on the boat are not at the widest part, especially at the bow. So if the fenders are attached to the cleats, they don't hit the dock before the hull would. Any suggestions? Here is a stock picture (not my boat) that gives you a good idea of where the cleats are located:

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciate. Also, any advice for a new boat owner would be great as well.

About the only thing I could think of would be to mount one of these where the fenders are needed. About as small as possible and strong enough to hold securely.

i have added a cleat on each side of mine, at about the windshield area. then if docking just for a minute, you only need one bumper out.

Due to the design of your boat the best bet are fender locks, screw receiver into side..tie fender onto eyelet, hang when needed..

fender lock will work, i used cleats, as i use a spring line, when stored in the water.
