Hello, I have a cracked block that's letting water into my bottom cylinder. I am looking to install a used block/powerhead assembly if I can find one. I have been looking on Ebay and found someone selling an assembly that came off a 1990's 70hp. He says it will fit up with most three cylinder engines. Is there a way I can find out for sure if this part is compatible with my motor before I buy it and is it a wise move to replace the whole assembly on my motor? Thanks in advance, Sam

you motor will work with 73-77. there was a major change in 78.

Thanks for the info. Do you know where I can find a good used assembly for not alot of money?
