My 120 hp force wont move. I took the steering cable completly out of the boat and it still wont budge. I figured once the cable came out that would fix it, but it didnt. What should i check next.

Re: Engine wont turn

There's a grease fitting in the stern mounting bracket ( bracket that the engine swivels back and forth on) holds the engine to the stern of the boat, it's about midway up on the port side on my 125, the kingpin runs up thru there, gets dry and sticks. Take a grease gun and pump some grease in the fitting until you see it come out the top and bottom of bracket.

There's also other grease fittings on either side of the bracket next to the top of the stern in the clamp brackets that need to be greased do those while you've got the grease gun out, and also the grease fitting on the steering cable.
I beleive you need to grease the steering cable with the steering shaft turned all the way into the steering sleeve to keep it from getting air locked. Good Luck!
