No electrical power

We just bought a 1995 Four Winns 190 Horizon with the original OMC Cobra I/O engine. Second time we took it out it had no power--blower, tilt/trim, lights, starter would not respond. Another boat gave us a jump start and we road around the lake for an hour. When we stopped the boat--dead as a doornail again! We checked it immediately after we stopped. We replaced the battery and the trim/tilt works now, but nothing else--blower, lights, starter won't respond. We have tightened down the battery connections and followed the wiring to look for any disconnects and don't see anything. This is our first boat, so it may be something "obvious" that we just don't know. Any ideas???

Re: No electrical power

Look around the battery, sounds like you may have missed putting one of the positive or negative wires back on.

Re: No electrical power

My 1996 boat had one large red wire to the + battery terminal and one large black wire to - battery terminal and it also has another smaller grouping of wires with a seperate connection to the - battery terminal. Sound like this grouping is missing from the battery or an inline 20amp fuse may be open. Try to follow the lines from the key to the battery. Good luck.
