'04 Merc 150 saltwater 2 stroke?

I'm ready to buy a '04 trophy 2501 center console w/ twin Merc 150 saltwater 2 stroke engines, does anybody have any positive or negative feedback about issues or performance with these engines? this well be my first boat w/outboard engines, which is usually 1/2 the boats total price. any feedback would be great

Half priced? Is the hull sound? Be sure there are no cracks in the transom!
I was also looking at a Trophy with an asking price well below market value.
Found a serious crack :eek: in the transom during a visual inspection.
Killed that deal!

If you find the hull is sound,sea trial that baby. Compression test each of the engines after you have put them through their paces.

Buyer beware :rolleyes:.
