Oil in carby bowls

Gidday everyone.
Does anybody have any sugestions as to why the carby bowls fill wth oil after i have not used my boat for a month or so. It is a 70 hp VRO Johnson. 86model.

Are you storing the motor in the trailering position (tilted up)? Is your oil tank mounted higher than the carburetors?

No the boat is stored level motor tilted down and the tank is below the engine

How hot is the weather? Here in Texas the Gas will evaporate and leave the oil behind. How much is left? I drain the float bowls if I don't Use it for several months.
