Reference this thread for context (post #27 is the most relevant) . . .
Well we buried Stacey on Saturday morning, it was a beautiful service and those who spoke all said exactly the same things as I mentioned before . . . No BS, that was her. One of her nurses heard that she had passed and took the day off to come. She stood up and spoke which was amazing, because she wanted everyone to know how much the staff loved her, and how much Stacey helped them comfort the other patients. She was a very special lady.
Well we said our goodbyes and headed to Havasu for Mrs. QC's nephew's wedding. It was held at the London Bridge Resort.
This weekend was The Desert Storm Charity Poker Run with boats there from all over the Country. Many of them with triples . . .
So while the Wedding Ceremony was under way (outside) you could hear the beautiful sound of high performance marine engines idling along in the Channel below us. Pretty funny actually but appropriate for Havasu.
Nephew Nick and new Niece-in-law Brandy had a great night until she broke a toe on the dance floor
Nick's a Paramedic, half of Lake Havasu Fire was there, and we brought along a Registered Nurse, so she was well attended to. Hopefully they'll see it as nothing but a funny story later . . .
So the reception was filled with stories of Stacey and we did bring the sixer of Miller Lite in her honor mentioned in the other thread. One was left full and the five of us that went to both events toasted Stacey with the others. Great night and I think Stacey would've been proud of us for letting Nick and Brandy know what a special day it was for us, and what a special couple they were following . . .
And just because I have to boast about the coolest pic I've ever taken on my boat. On Sunday night everyone had left but Mrs. QC (green blanket), our Registered Nurse friend and me. Here are my hot passengers on the way to dinner. It was a little hard not fantasizing that I was some mega-tycoon dude cruising with my harem . . .
