anyone know the year of my motor

force 85 hp model 856x7a serial number 1630 and also how do i know if it is a thru prop exhaust or not without the prop on (its in the bottom of the lake:redface:) thanks in advance........jim

If the intake screens are inline with the prop, on the "barrel" so to speak, you do not have through hub exhaust.

Through hub exhaust has the water intake screens higher up the L.U. a bit

that motor is most likely like my '84 85hp which has an exhaust "snout" & 2 "port holes" that water sprays from at lower rpm's w/ engine exhaust.
