Removing old gas

My boat has a 12 gallon gas tank that has a couple of gallons of 3 year old gas in it. I'm assuming that it would be best to remove the old gas before putting in fresh gas. I tried to siphon the gas, but couldn't get the tube down into the tank. It is a "built in" tank with a gas intake like a car and a few twists and turns to get into the tank. Any ideas on getting this out?

Re: Removing old gas

you should be able to disconnect the hose that runs to the engine and use the ball to pump it out.
If the gas has stabilizer in it,I would just fill the tank up and use it.
