Sacrificial anode?

I reciently swaped out my 115 lower unit with an older model that doesn't have a sacrificial anode mounted in the usual spot (just above the cavitation plate). Does anybody know where the anode was mounted on an early 80s 115? Do I need to find somewhere to mount an anode in this situation?

I also have an 80's 115 e115tlcrd to be exact...

I'm also wondering where the anode is on this thing (behind the plate and in place of the part "filler block"?

Any luck finding it?

If there was an anode you will be able to find it, see roughly what it looks like perhaps and its location by refering to the parts diagrams at "http://epc.brp.com/default.aspx?brands=ej&lang=e"

Had a quick look but cannot see one listed so conclude there wasn't one.

There were no gearcase anodes on a lot of the small V4 motors up through 81.

We put them on top of the anti-ventilation plate just ahead of the trim tab. Stainless bolts with locknuts and teardrop anodes work well, but clean the surface so that you make good contact. I use a CMT 20.
