I'm new to boating and have a 85 HP Evinrude 2 stroke (believe it's an early 90's motor) that may have what may be considered a slight misfire. I've checked the compression, It's good @ 110 PSI on the average, plugs are all new (gap is set at .030) Spark is good, and I took the carbs apart and cleaned them out. The motor is strong but seems to me like it may be mifiring on the lower cylinder rt side. I'm not sure what a "normal" idle or what the motor should sound like when rapped up. IT appears strong but a slight miss. Could the fuel that has been in the tank since last year cause this or am I overlooking something that should be checked or just thinking t much? Also I swapped coils and moduals from each side and that showed no change. Thanks for your time and enjoy your summer. Cheers.
