Default Mercury trim/tilt pump seized

I have a 94, 90 hp Mercury and the three ram trim/tilt system with the square, Eaton motor. The pump has locked up. Everything was good last fall when I put the boat under the shed for the winter. The motor was resting on the "transom saver". This Spring, while getting ready for a trip, the trim/tilt wouldn't move. I checked voltage, relays, etc. I removed the motor/pump there was no water in the system, but the fluid was low, maybe 1/2 to 2/3 full. I separated the motor and pump and tried to turn the pump with an allen wrench and had to use pliers and a lot of force just to move it a little. I have heard these pumps are not serviceable. Does anyone have any information on this kind of pump or where I could find a replacement, pump only? Thanks.

I just bought a complete used tilt/trim 3 ram, 3 wire, square motor with side fill for my 70hp on epay for $230 including shipping. It's nice and clean and works great. The other style with the 3 ram, 2 wire, round motor with the aft fill will fit between the brackets but you will need a relay kit to make it work properly.
You can find new replacement motors on epay for about $80 and new motor/pump cartridge units for around $200.
In my case, the PO had removed the zinc anode and the unit was used in salt so the housing was in very rough shape. I wanted to start with a nice clean fresh water unit. If you buy used get a fresh water unit and make sure to get the anode!

Hope this helps.

Wargle, Arco makes aftermarket PTT motors. They are likely cheaper than OEM.
