water bottom hole port side

ive got a 1992 175 that has a miss at about half throttle on up. i pulled the plugs and all looked the same till i came to the bottom port side, when the plug was pulled sure looked like water had steam clean it.
would this be the o rings or something else?

Can you post a picture of a "normal"plug and the one that looks steamcleaned,you can tell alot just by looking at a plug.
If it were mine I would start with a compression check, if the bottom cylinder is off it could indicate bad rings or a leaking head gasket.
That will give you a good base to start eliminating things.

agree compression check a must, hopefully a head gasket.
