I need help. I have a 1977 Johnson 75hp Stinger it was stuck in reverse, I took the bolts out of the lower unit it was stuck and did not come off but it would now shift from forward to neutral and reverse. I hooked up the garden hose and the motor ran fine so I took it to the lake it when I put the boat in reverse it stuck. Back home I took the bolts out again the lower unit it was still stuck but it would shift again. So I took it back to the lake and did not try reverse it ran great in forward on the way back I tried reverse again and it stuck. I am newbie to boats so I am puzzled at this. Any help would be appreciated
