This is a consistent problem since I first purchased this motor about 15 years ago. Motor starts very well and runs fine for about 3 or 4 minutes, then it seems to load up and cuts back to only one or two cylinders. If I let it idle for another 15 minutes or so, it clears up and runs great at both idle and full throttle. The problem is most noticable at high altitude and the few times I have used it at near sea level, I did not experience the problem. Are there different jets for the carbs for diferent elevations? Just seems to be running too rich for the altitudes in Colorado. Any advice would be helpful before I pull the carbs.

Yes' there are leaner high speed jets for high altitude just be aware that when changed and brought back to sea level it will burn a pistion if not changed back.
