WHen the motor is tilted up, it leaks fuel from below the cowling. I replaced the gaskets that go between the airbox/silencer and the face of the carbs to no avail. Also, on my airbox there is no hose connection for a return line to the intake manifold.

How can I stop this? It makes an oily mess (premix) at the back of boat.

Could it be that my floats are set too high? I dismissed this idea at first, because when the engine is tilted down and I pump the primer bulb, it gets hard a no fuel seeps out of the carb throats. Nor does fuel spill out when it's running.

Fuel only drips out, when tilted up.

It has carburetors on it with toilet tanks for reservoirs. When you tilt them to 75 degrees, they have to spill.

You could, when you put it on the trailer and the engine is still in the lake, idle the engine with the fuel bayonet disconnected till it dies.

hope it helps

Go buy a 2008 Verado, then it won't leak.
