The passenger side turn signal on the trailer doesn?t work. The driver side does

Both turn signals on the truck work.

The green wire on the trucks electrical plug is dead. The circuit tester doesn?t light up

All fuses on the truck seem to be ok

What do I do now?

thanks for the help

Re: trouble shooting turn signal

Fix the green wire connection between the truck connector and wherever its connected.

you said "All fuses on the truck seem to be ok" - sounds like you don't have a lot of confidence. You don't say what truck you have, but many have a separate fuse for each trailer turn signal. Your first step would be to find out for sure whether the fuse is ok.

2nd step would be to probe the green wire upstream of the connector.

Re: trouble shooting turn signal

the green is for the right (passenger/starboard) side stop and turn lights. thus the reason you arent getting the right turn signal.

sandpaper the connections, spray with contact cleaner(if available) spit on the connections (seriously) hook it up to your vehicle and test the right blinker.

if still doesnt work turn on right blinker and test green connection at plug of your truck with test light or volt meter. should blink on and off 12v. MAKE SURE THE RIGHT BLINKER IS ON.. OR HAZARDS

if this does not work test, similarly, on the green wire going TO THE BACK of the truck side of the connection (strip a little bit of the wire to see copper and test this) ... MAKE SURE THE RIGHT BLINKER IS ON.. OR HAZARDS

if still no blinking light or on off 12v then you have a blown fuse or a faulty connecting upstream of the green wire.... follow the green wire as far as possible under the truck and see where it meets the main harness... check this harness for white/green/black crude or sloppy connection.. if no bad connections found then you must look for blown fuse... if you still cant find a problem, then you better bring it to a mechanic.
