Not gettin fire on my 1988 85 horse Force

My 1988 85 horse Force was running great and now all of a sudden Im not getting any fire to any of the three cylinders dont know what happen can yall help

Here are a few things you can try that will take a few minutes each to do!
Make sure your lanyard is connected to the kill switch, if disconnected she won't start!
Make sure shifters in neutral when cranking, won't start if in gear!(neutral safety switch) prevents starting in gear.
Disconect the battery before working on the electrical don't want to short something!
Check your engine for pinched or loose wires.
Check ignition switch and kill switch for bad connection, clean and tighten screw terminials on ignition switch and kill switch.
Make sure you have a good connection at your battery and the post are clean and tight.


Don't know electrical too well but these are things that need to be checked every so often anyway! Hope one of these will help!

In addition to the above, remove the WHITE wire at the engine terminal board near the starter. If you now have spark the problem is either in the cable running from the engine to the ignition switch or the ignition switch itself is faulty. These engines are stopped by shorting the white wire from the CD boxes through the blue wire to ground, thus stopping spark. If all of a sudden you get no spark on all three cylinders, it is too much coincidence that both CD boxes have gone bad at the same time. So it is either the switch or the man overboard kill switch which also shorts white to ground.
