hey guys got my flywheel on and torqued to 120 ft lbs
cant hold it to get the 140-145 needed do i need a flywheel holder or is there homemade solution.
thank you
Benny,
I took a 3/8" nylon rope and threw about 15-20" of the rope into the clyinder itself. When the piston contacts the rope, it should stop it from going any further which should allow you to torque the flywheel nut.

Very BAD idea. Get a flywheel turner from NAPA. Less than $30.
Connecting rods and their bearings were not designed to hold against 120 ft-lbs of torque, especially the wrist pin needle bearings, which can be badly damaged. You need to find other mechanics who have a clue.
yes i have a piston stop but didnt want to put pressure ond con rod .
the towel will work on its hard to hold to 140 ft lbs
flywheel holder was my next shot
thanks guys hi reggie how is your motor running havent set my timeing pointer yet
send me pm when you have time on how it whent
and i saw you did some tilt trim stuff
