I was repainting the bottom of my 14' Aluminum boat and noticed I had grabbed the wrong can of paint being rustoleum. I painted half one day, and the other half another day. The first half of the boat is topside paint, and the second half is rustoleum. They are both the same color. I trailer the boat, very little use in salt water. What should I expect.

Re: rustoleum below waterline

the top side paint will want to stay above the waterline....while the rust paint wont care....

so your in for a rockin ride.....

just kidding.....no idea.....run it for a season and post back on what happens.....the worst thing will be you look like a zebra....and do new paint job in the spring.

its a tinny...they dont need paint...so you wont sink....it will really depend on the surface prep you did

If it falls off, thats fine. I was concerned about any chemical reaction to salt water with the aluminum.

Stray current, saltwater and aluminum are reasons to be concerned, though.
