I've got a 1995 Evinrude 150 Intruder. At full throttle and trimmed out (5500 RPMs) I sometimes get a warning horn chirp about every 30 sec. I can trim it down and the horn goes away. I've had this boat for about a year and this problem started last fall. HELP

Re: Evinrude Warning Horn Chirp

The Low Oil Warning from your oil tank is a 1/2 second beep every 40 seconds. If you have a full tank of oil, you should troubleshoot the switch, which is in the tank, as well as the wiring. The low oil warning is supposed to sound at 1/4 tank or less.

The chirp that you hear could also be from a failing ignition switch or bad wiring on the tan wire somewhere in the the warning circuit.
