Well here's the scoop! I got the boat out on the water and she started real smooth no knocks or wierd pings, I looked over my shoulder and noticed steam coming from the engine bay, so I stopped and shut her down...opened the bay and water is right to the top of my floor....8" of water in 3 minutes. I bilged right away and let her drain out (15 min later)......So my buddy came over in his boat....hopped in mine and looked under by the oil pan to see as a ran the motor to actually see where the water was coming from.....well holy jeepers!!! I blew the frost plug right behind the engine mount. We got it back in just to see if she'd hold and as soon as I ran it a second time she blew and I struck oil too!! and lots of it!!!! This time 6" of milkshake in my engine compartment!!!!! Looked like coffee and whitener at the same time! So needless to say I check out the oil dipstick and sure as sh$t water in the oil pan So did I blow the motor? Crack the block? Or a head gasket? I'm a big boy so I can take the punishment...but be easy on me I treat this boat like my 02 z06 so I may choke up! Thanks! 93 bayliner 4.3 inboard Thanks.....HOOBS

Im not a machanic but I know to look for a few things.

Im not sure why a freeze plug would come out on its own but like on my old truck they leaked and needed to be replaced so I really dont think thats a big deal.

The water in the oil well, thats differant. It may be a bad head gasket but I think the 1st thing I would do if the motor still turns is to pull all the spark plugs out and see if any water is in the cylinders.

Theres a lot of post on here that talk about hydrolock and you could be getting close to that if theres water in the cylinders. Pull the plugs and rotate the engine by hand and see if water comes out. Next a compression test is needed to see whats going on inside the engine. You may just need a new intake manifold gasket and if thats the case then you may have found your water leak to the oil as well.

Id start with that stuff 1st after reading posts like this thats whats always recomended to do 1st.

You probably cracked a cylinder wall. Maybe worse. I would start with removing the heads and taking a look inside at the damage. Sounds like you blew a freeze plug and ran it while it was not cooling that side on the engine.

Check the easy stuff first.

Pull the intake manifold. Check those gaskets and look for signs of leaks between the oil and water passages and check also for blockages too.

If that doesn't work, pull the heads. Look down in the cylinder bores and make sure it isn't a cracked cylinder wall. If no cracks, check again for blockages, clean and flush as needed. And replace from there. Good luck! Here is hoping for something simple!
