Help with Evinrude Etec

I need help with setting up my throttle cable on my new 90/65 Evinrude Etec Jet. I cant find pictures anywhere of how the throttle linkage is hooked up. I have the cable for it but what i cant figure out is if the linkage adjustment knob goes in front of or behind the mount.
It would be a great help if any of you guys running a 90 hp or below may be able to give me a picture of how it is supposed to be set up.

it should have a groove to fit into. with a lock down plate or screw. not familar with the motor, but all the old ones were this way.

This is what im reffering to. Not sure if it goes the adjustment knob goes on the side i have it or on the otherside. Everything seems to work well like this.

the expanded section goes into the holder, red fits into the slot blue.

Thats what i thought to but I couldnt get it to go in, the plastic piece seemed like it was too big around to fit. I didnt want to force it and break anything.
