Default Advice Financing new Boat prices, models ect

hi everyone.

I want to have an idea which economic boat is best to buy.

I think any size 17"-22" is fine, I want a cheap decent boat that i can pay a month $100-150 if that is possible cause i'm not aware of financing anything.

i want to go fish on the boat and a little offshore if is possible

recently i went to a Outdoor store nearby and they carry 2 brands of fishing boats MAKO and SEA CRAFT and they look very expensice to me and the quality isnt the best from my point of view, a 18.5feet MAKO over $32,000 ?

I think i like better a boat with Deck or DUALConsole than a CC.. so any type is fine to me
Thanks to all

My advice is to consider the boat payment as the cheapest part of owning a boat. I own a 81 Wellcraft 20' CC with a 95 Evinrude 225 Motor. Paid $7200 cash 3 years ago and the boat is in great shape. When the seas are 2-3 feet I can go out comfortably 15 miles and that puts me into some pretty heavy fishing. I also have a good radio, GPS, and plan for if things change, and they have rather quickly out there. I typical day fishing costs the following:
72 Gallons fuel at $4/Gallon, 2 miles to the gallon average
Oil $15
Bait $20
Ice $7
Tackle probably averages $20 per trip
So you are looking at $350 per trip.
That doesn't include the regular annual maint. of around $500 per season.

These are the costs that enable others to buy boats one year later for 80% less than the purchase cost, the unconsidered. Buy used, pay cash!

i think your budget is going to put you in the used boat catagory. which are harder to finance, and the interest rate is higher. talk to your bank, credit union, to get proper info.

I own my 19' powerboat and 24' sailboat and 150 dollars a month does not even cover insurance and minor maintenance

I think you're probably ok budget wise, but I would go for a boat a little bigger.
