Quick Epoxy Question

It's about 50 degrees here but otherwise a nice day. I'd like to get some work done. Will my epoxy still cure? Slow cure is ok, but of course no cure or incomplete cure isn't.

Nevermind. I'm using US Composites 635 Thin with Med. Hardner but West System docs say I may not get a complete cure below 60 deg. To be safe, I think I'll just wait a few days until it warms up.

Re: Quick Epoxy Question

Yeah, I wouldn't try that with the Med. hardener. USC Epoxy seems to be on the slow/cool side of the epoxy cure scale. I'm using exclusively their "fast" stuff in the heated garage I work in, and I've only had one large batch start to gel on me in my 30-ish minute work time.

Roughly I think USC fast == West systems medium cure times at the same temps... and I've used the stuff at 60 degrees and it took a week to mostly cure.

Dunno, MAS want's 46 degrees, but says once it warms up, all ok. Just takes longer.
Any heat lamp is good.
