Hi All,

I have a problem with my 50 HP EFI mercury outboard , maybe you will know the solution , the mechanics here in Israel say that everything is OK but it is not like that.

For few months there is a problem with the colling system.

on low RPM (idle) after the engine has warmed up the water tell tale is on and off and there is no uniform streem of water out of it . when I rais RPM a bit the streem of water out of the tell tail steblizes.

After long periods (5 minutes or so) standing on Idle the overheat signal bips constant signle and I have either to shout the engine off or rais the RPM until it colles down (10-15 seconds) and then the bip goes of.

When I just leave the harbor and the engine is cool the streem of water out of the tail tale is constant but bo so strong as it used to be few months ago.

On long runs on RPM above 1200 +- there are no overheat problems and the engine works completely fine and cools itself perfectly.

The overheat problem is only on low RPM and mainly when the engine is already warmed up.

I have replaced the Themostat for a new one and also replaced the impeller and new seals for it.

I will appriciate any assitance anyone may have.
