I'm having trouble finding a jack plate to fit this motor without drilling holes. In addition, I have to find one that will accommodate the clamp devices on the top curl of the engine mount.
I hope that my research will keep me off U-tube. Ha! That's why I ask the question... I think I have found one but not sure. It's the Power Lift set adjustable back plate with 5 1/2" set back distance. The other is a two piece 3/8" thick aluminum set back plate non-adjustable (I forget the manufacturer). But they both are definitely capable of handling the motor I have horse power wise and weight. I just haven't received any answers as to the mounting holes matching up exactly.
I hope to soon because I'm getting jumpy to get on the water after three months of restoring this boat and this is the only hang-up I have left.

Did you ever find an answer to this question? I've got the same engine, just bought a CMC ML-65 Jackplate. I'm sure I'll have to drill new holes, not quite sure what to do with the engine clamps up top. Any idea?
