Ive got a 1993 TE40ELETB 40HP Evinrude on my tracker that is a nice, low, low hours, clean, mechanically perfect motor, but I'd like a few more MPH and a little better hole shot. I've done soem reading, and it seems the only difference between the 40's and the 50's is the carbeurator. My question is, if I got my hands on some 50HP carbeurators, could I simply swap them out and have a 50HP motor? or is it more complicated, and if so, how?
