I'M NOT GETTING ANY SPARK ON TOP CYL . HOW DO I TEST FOR COIL OR BOX? iT WAS RUNNING BUT IDLE WAS ROUGH AND TOOK ALONG TIME TO GET UP ON PLANE I THOUGHT IT WAS CARBS BECAUSE I COULD TURN THE SREW ON THE MIDDLE CARB ALL THE WAY IN AND IT MADE NO DIFFERENCE ON THE IDLE OF MOTOR.

You can switch the wire to the coils at the box to check but if it's not a coil and it's probably not you will have to test the system with a DVA of OHM meter.

What is a DVA and are you talking about the whole ignition system? I have read that a bad stator could make the switch box go bad. Thanks

A DVA is for testing voltage or the Ohm meter test resistance, I did not say anything about replacing the whole system that would be stupid anyway heres the test, do what you want.
